Mr. Fasakin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication, from the University of Lagos, (1986) and has been a beneficiary of several top-notch marketing research courses organized by the Burke Institute, USA, The Market Research Society, UK, Unilever International, The South African Marketing Association, and so on.
He started his marketing research career in 1988 at Research Marketing Services Limited as a Research Assistant. After a brief spell at the company’s field department, he was part of the pioneering team at the company’s TEC department before he became a Research Executive in November 1988. Mr. Fasakin distinguished himself in the research executive department and was strongly involved with preparing market research programs and proposals for leading RMS clients at the time.
Fasakin joined Market Facts Limited, another market research agency in Nigeria in 1993 where he served as Client Service Director.
Since 1999 when he joined Communications and Marketing Research Group Limited as the Managing Director, Mr. Fasakin has led the company to become a notable name in the market research landscape in Nigeria.
His three and a half decades of experience in the industry has translated CMRG into a multiple award-winning agency notable for its simple but insightful reports, data integrity, and actionable recommendations. The agency was named “West Africa’s Best Market Research services consultants” consecutively in 2008 and 2009 by the Institute of Direct Marketing Association of Nigeria.
Mr Fasakin’s specialized skills in the field of customer satisfaction measurements and brand equity surveys have been used by leading brands such as MTN, Diageo, Unilever, Promasidor, and KPMG, among others.
He was the past President and is currently a fellow of the Nigerian Marketing Research Association (NiMRA), and also a member of several international professional marketing research associations, such as the Global Alliance for Market Research (MRGA), and American Advertising Research Foundation (AREF).
