003Lanre’s knack for interpreting market data and making inferences which speak to the heart of consumers distinguished him early in his career. At a rather young age, he was a crucial part of research teams that evolved winning strategies for leading national brands, revived those suffering declined fortunes and successfully birthed new ones.

At the Research and Marketing Services Limited (RMS) where he started his career in 1987, Lanre was a choice pick for clients across categories such as dairy products, personal care/depilatories, lager beer, CSDs, seasonings, cocoa based beverages and baby care products, amongst others.

Besides frequent exposure to top-notch, blue chip local and international accounts, Lanre’s skills were also honed by training seminars and workshops coordinated by leading RMS clients at that time such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble, the United African Company (UAC) and Society for Family Health (SFH). These cumulative research knowledge and experiences shaped his outlook on bespoke research designs on; Products Test and Rationalisation studies, Communication Research, Name/Packaging tests, Brand Image audits, Customer Satisfaction surveys, Pricing research and Omnibus surveys, to mention a few.

Lanre joined Market Facts Limited, a bourgeoning second generation consumer research agency in 1993 where he worked till 1999 as Executive Director, Client Services.
He was the pioneer Managing Director of CMRG from inception in year 2000 till date, and the company has grown from a start-up status to an award winning household name within the segment. Mr. Fasakin served as Lead Consultant, National Customers Satisfaction Survey, conducted by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in 2016.

Mr. Fasakin Studied at the University of Lagos where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication (1986), and MBA, Business School of Netherlands (in view). He was a regular participant at the Burke Institute of Marketing Research Training Seminars, Chicago, USA and full member of Market Research Society, UK.

Mr. Fasakin was the President of the Nigerian Marketing Research Association (NIMRA) between 2012 and 2016 and currently serves as a Fellow of the Association.
